Last_avataar:Asalu Emi Matladutunnaru. They start reading 3-8 word small sentences with big lettering from 5 Plus. Still they cannot comprehend Are you forcing your 3.5 years kid to read like that ?
i have never forced vunkl.. never even asked him to read. i used to read a couple of pages may be alternate day, and one fine day he started to read by himself. we were driving and he said "wellsfargo" reading a sign board on the road and i thought may be someday i read to him. but later found that he can actually read by himself. i used to think he is looking at pictures in the book, but when i point to any word he would read it, including the names of the cars that are on the road.
Sony:you should be proud of your kid, of that visual memory and not worry anukuntuna crimson tide uncle
ofcourse, we are proud of him. he was diagnosed being on the spectrum, and has been going to therapies and he seemed to have made progress in communication, but until he started speaking we did not see the other things he does differently. pediatrician says that we better take him to a specialist to understand his capabilities better. physically he is hyper active as well. |

Mental_sachinodu:as i see, some kids have stronger visual memory, anything they see they can recollect well, or understand well, but things they do , they are not seeing themselves have trouble recollecting. like if i ask him what I ate , he can answer that because he has seen it.

Mental_sachinodu: its the way he is communicating. you ask him what the movie character said or the charater in book said, and he will respond even after a few months, even if he hasnt read or watched it. but if you ask him what he had for lunch, or how he fell down, of if some kid hits him, after 5 mins, he is trouble understanding or answering the question.
not to trivialize the issue.. already mee vodiki life lo paniki vachedi edo.. paniki raanidi edo clarity undi.. anduke thine food gurthu undatledu..but paniki vache items like Videos etc long time gurthu untunnai.. but too early to categorize that as a problem IMO |

yes its the same with her too. he called out Amma or Mom after he turned 3 for the first time. now calls with her name.
Aha:Does he spend lot of time reading books?
yes.
Aha:Caillou laanti kid shows choosthaadaa usual ga?
we have stopped any tv or tablet interaction since 8 months. like i mentioned if he watches something, he was memorizing the content than understanding the content. he has changed qutie a bit in this respect, but we are not showing any videos yet. will reintroduce slowly at a later time. |
