No I am not ignoring. Majority of the republicans rallied behind him. There is a part of establishment that stayed back. The up in the polls we saw for 3 weeks was indication of that. Every one were lining in his way. The tape and aftermath was the breaker. Walk in there ... Unconditional apology and his surrogates were prepared to do the rest. But he chose to take a demolishing path. No how can we blame establishment when his is putting them on notice. The whole point of presidency is compromise. I just got in to drive. So I wanted to keep you occupied with that question . Now i am back. Here is my take. I am not saying what is right or wrong. We crossed that point long back. I will just give explanation in my words for any neutral voters First, this is not from wiki leaks. This is from the released FBI interview notes. First we heard about this is during comey senate hearing. One of the senators( I think chaffetz) questioned about this point and asked for the release . At that time FBI promised to release this notes before election. The classification criteria was changed since the day Hillary sent email and the day FBI was going to review. The classified material Mark is not science .. There is no defined lines. There is some judgement call that goes into it. As a part of process there were negotiations between FBI and state department and finally they came to conclusion. this particular topic is negotiation between Kennedy and FBI employee. Kennedy was reported to have asked the FBI to change the classification criteria to a level that it would not be released to public. His defense is that it contains sensitive information . The FBI employee said he would look into if Kennedy provides assistance on FBI request for increase in personnel in Iraq. Some where else in the reprorting the FBI employee mentioned if they go ahead with it, it ' may be ' quid pro quo. So this is inter departmental discussion that was recorded between to employees. Now final result is FBI has not changed the classification so the email was released to public( this is about possible arrests in Bengazi incident). State department did not increase the personnel. At best it was chatter between two state employees.. Chaffetz knew he can get some noise when this news is released . Unfortunately , he already unendorsed Donald Trump. So there is not much energy there. Right now news media is looking for few hits and tag of fair reporting.. I agree with you. I actually think this sends a Better signal instead of third party. Picking third party sends a false signal that you are aligned with third party. I still don't like protest vote though. This is how things work in democracy. We can't shut away when we see something we don't like. We have to work thru it. Changes Happen gradually and changes come from down ballots. You need a leader who can work within the system across the aisle at the top. on an ordinary day it is and that is what makes this system and process workable. I still think we should work until the last day to make a binary decision. For ex: it got to mean something when conservatively aligned news paper for 100 of years break mold, when the best surrogate you have is Rudy Giuliani, when the Republican Party is struggling to find balance and common with person top of ticket. If temperament means a lot and we are risk averse in this area, we lean one way There is persception of Hillary's corruption. If that means a lot and we are risk averse in this area.. That will make lean some other way.. If we are risk averse in both areas, find a tie-breaker. Bottomline is finding a workable solution. Revolution is the last option !! If you ask a staunch republican supporter, he will say HRC is the worse of two. If you ask a staunch democratic party supporter, you know the obvious. It is just a matter of perspective, isn' it?
third party, tea party, green party, and independent candidates are sometimes more extreme than major party candidates. And the system itself is so skewed towards major parties, these guys and their ideas are so little exposed to public to even make any difference in the election process.
How is it a waste of infrastructure? Does my write-in vote cost more to count than vote casted towards major party candidates? If a voter doesn't like both candidates, your suggestion to them is to stay at home? I am sure write-in votes are a fraction of total voting percentage..if that fraction goes up considerably, analysts are not going to notice that? Why wouldn't that send a message to the major parties about their candidates? | ||

Protest votes are good if there is not much hanging on them - and only if you do not care which one becomes president.. Just my opinion !! vote is very important. It has severe consequences..less than 200k votes in Florida, nc and Ohio could have made Romney president instead of Obama. Irrespective of what the electoral college margins shown. This election will be no different !! Every half empty glass is also Half full. Every candidate will have pros and cons.. In the system US Has, there is no protest vote . Independent vote is what keeps the candidates in check from moving towards party pandering fringe positions. Instead of looking at it as less of two evils , look at it as best of two people. What is that you stand for and which one of these come close to that.. In the world of no black and white, it cannot be anymore binary!!! If people like you( not specifically you but as representative independent voter) stay away ..you leave the election in the hands of people blinded by fanatic personal affiliations .. like me and Hadoop( not specifically, I am just using us as representaive fan base to make a point). Democracy in a advanced society is not build for that. There is no participation limit. Some time candidates take a scorched earth approach just to make this happen.. Disgust people from participation..A protest vote plays into those hands. Change in democracy is a slow process and it is by design. Every ballot comes with an issue list not just A and B for president . If major people agree, changes will happen. The conventions has given us a look at platforms represented by the two people. The 3 debates will give and oppurtunity to show how they handle them self. There was an yearlong audition.. There is quite a bit of data.
