So, a few movies for masses dont make him disciplinary any more? He woke up at 3.30 am throughout his life buddy. And once he committed something, he did it. And it was that comittment which gave him guts to implement great reforms. Try that for a change.
Dont even try to put him and Congress in the same sentence.
Of course he was eccentric, so what? what does perfection have anything to do with his greatness?
He was the highest paid star for a long time....Of course all his assets were bought with his own money and no illegal ways.
He controlled his kids almost to the ••• end of his career. Despite being in great power, he did enough not to corrupt them with power/money for as long as he was alive.

Why shud being an actor be degraded? How many of us are No.1's even in our companies for tht matter, leave alone profession?
What they have achieved is nothing short of sensational and it is ok to admire them for many qualities.
No one is perfect and we shud appreciate for what they are and how they chose to inspire a few generations. Movies even today remain one of our biggest industries and the single largest medium of influence in Telugu state and it has given us great leaders.
There is no laughing matter to degrade them.

I think Mega Fans are much better off tryin to compare their idol to Bala, where Chiru has a clear edge and bragging rights.
Really futile trying to compare him to a legend.
In movies, Chiru at best shall be remembered as a great commercial hero for the time and as a trendsetter. A great reign at No.1.
NTR was all of the above and shall also be remembered for the great classics he was a part of and the stupendous variety and diversity of roles he personified. Right from Mythology to social, from Fantasies to Classics, from Folk Lore to Biographies and from the Villain to Anti Hero to a Commercial Star, there is hardly any Hero in India can match his repertoire.
ANR though a good actor in his own right, was extremely limited in his talents compared to NTR. Kudos to him for atleast matching the BO Hits till a certain period after which he withered away.
All the above was done and dusted by the so called ill-famed 1970's itself. Even had NTR stopped acting from 1974, his legacy was already carved in the gold annals of TFI.
But then, even with his age issues and his gaudy attires, he ruled the roost till he voluntarily gave up the No.1. Masses loved him and TFI exploited him despite his shortcomings.
And in the so called loud movies, he always balanced his hyper 'young' role with a matured double act in the same movie as Sardar Papa Rayudu, Bobbili Puli, JC and Kondaveeti Simham.
There was a reason why most people of the time still adored him as the positives far outweighed the negatives.
So, good luck on trying to highlight a few not so great years of his illustrious career and defame him in this well of a DB. Public as a whole have a better memory remembering him.
And then, coming to Politics, as far as comparisons go, lets not even go there. He clashed Head on with Indira Gandhi for God's sake. And people who dont even have an inkling of what was Indira during her time can as well as bury their head in the sand. He was simply the Alpha as far as the Telugu State went.
Apart from all the above, NTR was a great role model as a disciplinarian, honest, non-corrupt and an emotional straight forward man who really gave a genuine thought about the poor and got some great reforms in his time.
So, lets leave a few comparisons where they are and respect everyone for what they are. |
