it is not a bad thing. The requirement of Legal team is not just to mop the mess.. It is always best to have a legal team represent you irrespective of right or wrong.. To avoid any mistakes like self incrimination.. There is a reason Miranda law exists. You don't need to speak to an officer until you have a lawyer .. answer was right before our eyes. Here is sequence of events in my own words .. House committees requested Hillary work related emails in 2014. Hillary appointed an legal team to review th email and deliver them. The legal team identified 30k+ work related emails and delivered to house committee and state department. At that point, she was asks what to do private email. She asked them to be deleted as she doesn't have any need for them. At this point there is no illegality involved. Everything happened as per procedure and the deletion was to be performed by an independent contractor.. After an year, FBI challenged the process used by Clinton legal team to identify work related email. Then they were able to retrieve most of the 30k emails( atleast about 20k last I remember ) Someone leaked news to press saying there were emails with confidential information in the deleted batch *this is what most people get hung up on * After another 6 months of research, FBI came up with about 150 documents that Had confidential information which was unclassified ( means it was not classified at the time they were sent) and 3 emails that were classified but were dubiously marked with a small (c) next to them. That is the story about Clintons emails in laymAn terms. She was in her right to delete emails and you and I delete our yahoo mails .. I will be honest here, every time I list something, I am also coming up with defense. I think most of ugliness happened in her early days primarily in enablement of Bill. She is partner in crime. Bill has affairs during his Arkansas governor tenure( We knew it later). We can say with fair circumstantial evidence Hillary knew about it atleast several years back before it got exposed. There comes a time in a woman life to chose staying with cheating husband or maintain her self respect. Her decision to stay... may be ok.. given her 6yrs old daughter. Once she decided to stay with him, she immediately put together a system to protect him. This is where Bill should have apologized to American people and let them take a vote. Instead, she( again all indications were there to show she has run the defense) destroyed the women allegations by tearing them down. It was an easy thing but not right thing. So here I cannot defend her 'lure for Power' - AMBITIOUS( at any cost) This is why I agree possible evidence indicates she enabled Bill. She could have helped Bill become a better person, if not for want of power. The thought that he could get away with it created Monica situation in Whitehouse which forever tainted presidency. US president needs to be a role model. He is what next generation to aspire to become. 2. Every interview she has given after Bill was into public office has a tinge of worry about money associated with it. She was always talking about not having enough money for their future. I can understand the middle class upbringing drives the urgency as I had the similar thoughts of becoming rich overnight.. I thought money cures everything in world. But I had some moral lines. I think she was tempted to test a few( as our asdf famously calls insider trading, it is not 'insider trading'. But She did take advantages and connections in the system - GREED. 3. She has shown tendencies of lying. Most of such lies ended up being harmless and only demonstrated her unwarranted need for privacy but it definitely opened up 'possible' questions that could not be defended.
