the reason any one will plead fifth is to protect themselves from self incrimination. If they believe thier witness will put them in trouble for a different deed they will plead. this case is not about him. so he may have chosen to stay on sidelines ( I am just making This up) For example some one is growing weed in his backyard. He is called to give witness on a scuffle across the road. He maybplead fifth because in questioning if this comes out it will be bad. It just doesn't have to be that. Say he is Having affair with his boss wife .. Not Criminal but he May lose his job..if in questioning that topic come out. It is not related to scuffle. There can be several reasons. I know people hate when I repeat stuff but let me do it one more time. If she wiped clean incorrectly, Comey has a case. She was asked to hand off work related email. Clinton legal team followed the state department agreed protocol to separated work emails and handed of work emails .. After that she deleted the emails as she has abided by the request. The server was not in subpoena at that time. Then after FBI got involved, they revisited the protocol and started to look at classifications differently .. They found less than 0.1% classified document more in the remaining 30000. And there was justification as the material either were not really classifeid( incorrectly marked) or classified incorrectly ( small c next to the paragraph... I think only 3 emails found as such) But the news cycles have to create a story.. They talk about emails vaguely.
