CKGS vaadu cheppedi vinoddu. Ask them the official reference. Ea Govt order lo chepparu PIO ni OCI gaa maarchaali MUST ani? Its RECOMMENDED to convert to OCI without any fee till the end of year. But its not Mandatory. If they cancel the current PIO cards validity, its against the MODI's NY promise. There is a Government GO saying all current PIO cards are deemed to be OCI cards. Read page 2 in this link. But why this OCI in liu with PIO? Its for the convince of the Government. But at the same time, this above gazette can be updated with another gazette(this is what I am asking the CKGS lairs to show the proof to convert MUST). Proof kaavalamma.. proof.. | ||

oci is every 5 yrs new card for minor kids..passport aite 10 yrs no issues.u just apply usa passprot and use ur old usa passport for visa Happy Vizag | ||

OCI is not one time process, it's tied to your US passport. if your US passport is expired and renewed and you have to get new OCI card. If it's for minor then you have to renew every 5 years | ||

OCI is better in long term. If you want visit india in immediate future then 10 years Visa is good because OCI takes 3 months. | ||
