New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth's latest film "Kabali", which is receiving average response from audiences across India, has minted Rs 11.4 crore in two days in the north Indian market. The Pa. Ranjith directorial, which collected Rs 5.2 crore on its opening day, witnessed a 20 per cent growth on its second day in the north Indian market where it collected Rs 6.2 crore on Saturday, thus taking its cumulative total of Rs 11.4 crore, read a official statement. The Tamil film, which has been dubbed in other languages like Hindi, Telugu and Malay, witnessed a steady growth especially for the Hindi version. It released in 1000 screens in the north belt. However the Hindi dubbed version of the film has been sold for Rs 35 crores, and after the film’s release, it has got mixed to negative reviews thanks to a predictable plot and average direction! So for a film that has been sold at such a high rate, the collections received on Day 1 and Day 2 is pretty average. With the miserable reviews and the lacklustre response received for the Hindi trailer, expect it to dip down further. So this time even Rajinikanth can’t save Kabali, it seems! | ||

The Hindi version is the only one to show growth on day two while all the other languages saw falls on the second day. The film showed good growth in the North as the opening was low and multiplexes picked up on Saturday. The Tamil version saw falls in the Hindi circuits as well be it Mumbai, Pune or Delhi NCR.
