If you intend to hike go early - it was 113 deg when we went to cathedral rock , bell rock , chapel cross, and airport Mesa! There's good water activities but we did not have time ... thanks to mapquest (in pre gps days ) which took Us on a 3 hour detour to an eerie lake that felt like the setting for Blair witch project.. not quite the paranormal experience we were looking for ..
