Personally I like easing of FDI rules with sensible controls to protect the country's interests. FULL OPEN & FULL CLOSE is NOT GOOD. But, the ONLY issue I see here is BJP taking a BIG U Turn. As far as I am concerned, I am OK with their U Turn, as I never liked TOO many controls that restricted INVESTMENTS & INNOVATION. To those who did not get what the pharma FDI policy change is Greenfield was anyway under 100% FDI automatic approval - no change Brownfield was earlier under 100% - specific approval which means approval has to be sought before acquiring even 1%. Now upto 74% is automatic approval (that means you do not need to even approach the govt), only if one wants to go upto 100% does one need govt. approval. | ||
