I think NSG membership can be denied even if one country is opposed to us. So if China stands firm, we won't get it. Also getting waiver in 2008 is different because we were just asking to be able to purchase equipment & material from NSG members. Now it is different because, with membership we will have equal power with China in NSG. | ||

If all the other countries accept and china the only nation which has a dubious record of proliferation seems to disputing it then there wont be any consensus needed.... In India's case only 3 countries are opposing the Entry....if not this year we may get it in the next season.... we got waiver on nuclear supplies in 2008 so this is not like a unachievable task in Paki's case 80% of the 40 odd NSG countries oppose because of its known proliferation.... ban Krishna_jilla for being a TT | ||

I don't think India will get NSG membership. NSG operates on consensus. If India gets it, then we will never allow Pakistan to join it. Thats why China will oppose. | ||
