Ippudu Aananda Baashpaalappa!! Coming to a comparo.....it's unusual that any movie/show does complete justice to a full fledged literary work like 'ASOIAF' (which by the way is the actual name of the series). Frankly, the book community wasnt havin high expectations on HBO's take. But the way HBO has tackled the expectations head on and even surpassed them occasionally is stuff of legends. It has even kept the book readers guessing and some of the scenes conceived were brilliant on the screen. The books being the original shall always have an edge, but there are parts and books themselves which dont really move the plot as well sometimes and HBO's done it better. And vice-versa. I literally hate what HBO's doin with the Direwolves, most of which are happily alive and kickin in the books. Ofcourse, there are long time book fans who still crib about the philosophical differences between the novel and show, between characters and how HBO is still deviating from plot, blah blah.....but those are nothing but nitpickings in what otherwise a job well done and HBO needs to be bloody proud of themselves. Anyone to be blamed here is that crazy GRRM who is giving sleepless nights to book lovers by taking a decade to finish each book and there are still bloody 2 of them!! HBO shall now coolly complete the series in their own way and GRRM to differentiate himself form the show might give some rotten psychotic twists the pervert that he is.... Bloody Hell...GRRM, you old mug....Complete the bloody novels before you kick the Bucket!!! P.S: Last sentence is more like a janaghosha from the ASOIAF fan community rather than an individual opinion.... | ||
