Bit it seems There are various types of Heart attack...some fall under acute condition...and some fall under chronic conditions... Oops.. you are right, I checked the policy document again.. This is what it states: "Acute Onset of Pre-existing Condition (excludes chronic and congenital conditions) (only available to Members under age 70)" So I think they rejected stating its Chronic, sorry I stated it incorrectly. But the fact is they didn't pay a single penny. Had to pay to Ambulance and Emergency from my pocket. | ||

This is what the Atlas Policy said while purchasing. I did'nt fully understand what that means. "If you are under age 70, you may be covered for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition up to the overall policy maximum. Acute Onset of a Pre-Existing Condition(s) is a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a pre-existing condition(s) which occurs spontaneously and without advance warning either in the form of physician recommendations or symptoms, is of short duration, is rapidly progressive, and requires urgent care. The acute onset of a pre-existing condition(s) must occur after the effective date of the policy. Treatment must be obtained within 24 hours of the sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence. A pre-existing condition that is a chronic or congenital condition or that gradually becomes worse over time will not be considered acute onset. I had experience with this.. My FIL is diabetic and fell sick one night. We called 911 and rushed to emergency. Atlas America rejected the claim saying its a pre-existing but of type Acute onset, therefore its covered. I contested their decision, but of no use.. So read through the fine print, they dont cover Acute onset pre-existing conditions. | ||

Babai I took ACE network coverage with fixed benefits which would cover only certain amount max (may be 150k) there is no other insurance that covers preexisting. .so go for it $200 or some other minimum dhi theeskoni peace of mind konukko.. Fortunately I never had to use it but as per experts opinion it is the easiest insurance to work with. | ||
