25-year-old techie was raped, filmed and then blackmailed by her first cousin with an intention to force her into marriage and usurp her pricey property, at Pragathi Nagar locality in KPHB police limits in the city. The land in question is the ancestral property, worth Rs 4 crore, inherited by the victim’s family at Tullur village in Amaravati capital region in Guntur district, where land rates have been skyrocketing eversince the AP government announced land pooling scheme. Kommineni Ajay Kumar(32), the accused, was arrested on Monday two days after the victim lodged a complaint. Ajay, a former TCS employee, has been living in Hyderabad since 2008. After his marriage in 2012, he ventured into share trading for a living. He has been living with his wife and daughter at Pragathi Nagar. On Friday morning around 8 am, Ajay reached the victim’s flat. He knew her parents had left for their native village a couple of days ago. Police said that Ajay arrived at the victim’s flat with a kitchen knife and raped her at knife point. Further, he took her nude pictures and threatened to upload them on internet if she refused to marry him. Ajay also told police that he was disturbed over the victim’s acquaintance with one of her colleagues. Police said the girl had lodged a complaint on the same day itself. Inspector Ch Kushalkar said it is a well planned crime. Police arrested the accused and recovered a cellphone and the knife from him. Tullur village is part of the Amaravati Capital Region in AP |
