Bhayya.. 2011 lo nenu oka tv teesukellanu..46" Sony.. Issues are: Some airlines don't accept. For my friend (who was travelling the same day), Air India charged 399 ($133 * 3 - cargo rate). Most airlines don't accept more than 42" now (including emirates). Risk of breaking and if the luggage is missing, you wont get it in single piece (My close Friend's experience) Customs.. They charge the customs duty on their price list (Indian price). Fortunately my friend works at HYD customs. so I did not pay. Importantly, the NTSC/PAL issue.. I have tried with all DTH providers (Airtel, videocon, reliance and SUN). Finally, a guy in Hyd (I can give the number) gave me a STB which works for DISH. Paid 4K for this STB. Problem now is I can't change the DTH operator.. Finally servicing, My TV gave a problem yesterday and the service center wants to replace the entire board since it is overseas product.. So, I think it is better to buy a TV in India (Personal experience). | ||

I checked with JFK Emirates counter last time.. He told the following conditions.. All 3 sides combine 115 inches Total Weight should not exceed 70 lbs or 75 lbs If you have 2 free checking bags (like family of 4 taking only 6 suitcases and 2 slots available), then it is free if not you have to pay 125$. If you have only 1 free checking slot, you still have to pay 75$ I think.. | ||

TVs india lo ne better emo, you can get good deal if you search all over.. 4 yrs back, I got LG 55 inch Smart TV for 87,500/-..(I was given taken to that store saying that it is a seconds piece and that I will get 1 yr limited warranty only. I didnt ask the shop guy if its a seconds piece. It is working flawlessly even today...) | ||
