is the job FTE or Consulting? because its little confusing as you are talking about consultant. FTE recruiter is what you mean? Should I say I am wrong in assessing the opportunities (-ve) Or should I say I have kept the other opportunity at bay in view of this.. Never shop around for higher salaries. If you tell the product company HR that i got Rs. XY at another company and am angling for more, what's to prevent you from taking the product company's offer and then shop it around elsewhere. That is why in many companies, they will ask you to accept an offer in 3-4 days or else the offer will lapse. This is to prevent candidates for being in a forever-shopping mode. Here the issue might just be that you have exceeded their band and level or have pissed of the second company's HR by mentioning so blatantly about your first offer. But the main reason could be that - the first company way exceeded your skills/ experience in offering you a particular role and pay (because of their own requirements). Now to expect the second company also to drink the same Kool-aid is stretching things quite a bit. They are going to be guided by their own assessment of your experience and slot you in a particular grade and pay. The companies are going to be independent in their decision making. This is not an IPL auction. | ||

Recent ga kotha jobs anveshana lo paddanu and ipudu paristhiti idi 1. Services company lo PM role - peddaga experience lekapoyina valla avasaram kosam naa expectations ni reach avadaniki PM role ichesaru. I was successful in negotiating the salary but at the same time afraid of PM role. I was not even a team lead before thanks to niche skill set. 2. Product company lo - Services company lo chesina negotiation skills try chesanu. Backfired big time. What I spoke - 1. Market standards are high 2. There are services companies that are ready to afford so and so salary, really surprising that you cant! 3. I got an offer with that particular services company for so and so salary. HR said, he would try to reach my expectations. But never called. When I called him back he says they are planning to repeat the hiring process trying to find a new one!  Where did I go wrong.
