Yes..MENTAL..you are right. Center is playing favorites since long time (north is leaching south). Below are some pointers towards more equitable and just relation 1) Devolution of funds need to be @50%. .. at present it is around 40. And the formula needs to be changed to promote fiscal responsibility, population control. Currently, it promotes population explosion and fiscal profligacy ..( This is how north is leaching away south as they are pig population and begga begs) 2) Also income tax, sales tax lo states need to get good share... @ present it is one way flow 3) Mines, gas, pertrol .. @ present center is fuxxing states unilaterally. I feel that itsa very skewed setup - may be it was appropriate few decades back, but eventually states will feel that center is over-extending its power, or playing favorites. I have posted a similar thread few years back, and my guess(obviously not based on a lot of research) is coming true. Subbu swamy(something similar to JP movement) lanti vaala thappithe change ayye chance ledhu... I have always pointed BJP's hypocrisy about smaller states, it was a way for them to gain more ground politically,and the math never adds up about smaller states. As though states are bunch of toddlers running around. anyone agree that the current setup has past its date? |
