Evaro T-Govt against. Looks valid to me. The Telangana government in order to ease traffic has decided to widen roads around the Kasu Bramhanand National Park (KBR Park). To complete this initiative the government has to take over land belonging to the National Park and with this plan they will be chopping down 3100 trees. We have approached the government and asked not to do this but they say they have no other choice. We agree that creating infrastructure and roads is important and so we are demanding from the government to postpone their work by a month so that during the monsoons these trees can be relocated. Many individuals and companies have come forward to bear the cost of relocation of the trees and many have also agreed to plant them in their lands. For the government to hear us we need to do something that will catch their attention and also of the society. So we have planned to organise a Chipko Movement. We will hug the tree and not allow the workmen to cut them. We will go to the point to offer our head instead of the tree. We are living and breathing today because of them. Our law says no citizen should be harmed and no action can be taken against them if a non-violent protest is being organised. We are about 200 of us but we need 2000 more. Come join us.
