rice with husk ->

remove Husk -> Brown Rice (has a non permeable layer that contains an enzyme that prevents absorption of nutrients in Human -> Nutrients +Minerals + non soluble Fiber + soluble fiber

machine / hand pounded -> Broken rice or Dampudu Biyyam (where the impermeable layer breaks down but partially remaining, allows nutrients to be absorbed effectively -> Nutrients +Minerals + non soluble and soluble fiber

white rice -> remove all layers from Brown rice and polish and fortify with some vitamins -> Nutrients + less Minerals lost in layers + soluble fiber

Avoid US based Brown rice DUE TO arsenic content. even they are organic

Sirish:

Yes Nutrition wise both are same, Brown being slightly better in minerals and fiber.

Broken rice is better than Brown Rice and white rice , because the external shell of Brown rice inhibits absorption of nutrients

The kind of food like (legumes, lean meat, Veggies with good fats) make white rice good option (easily digestable , low GI, less Irritation to Gut etc)

But given a chance Broken /. dampudu is best of both worlds

according to that video before making white rice the brown rice is heated under the pressure so the nutrients are packed in. sounded like white rice will have the same nutrients as brown rice after that ?
