I carried a 50 inches Sony Smart TV to India last month via Emirates. TV cost $450 padindi, emirates vadu around $320 charge chesadu (emirates cost and airport cost anta for bulk packages). India lo customs ki oka 10k INR katta (I also carried Gold coins, so anta kalipi) Make sure you carry your invoice, lekapotey Indian price meeda customs charge chestaru. Airtel setup box ki connect chestey, black and white lo vachindi TV. Did some research and found that I should either buy a converter (around 3k INR) or upgrade to a HD setup box (600 INR). I went with Airtel HD setup box, it allows to connect using HDMI ports, my TV worked with no issues. | ||

Yes. They know how the pricing is in US. If you dont have invoice, he may want to charge you based on Indian price, unless u convince him. My experience was that the customs ppl were friendly, unlike a few years back. I told them that I bought it recently, and used it for few months, and mentioned the US price. | ||
