point! we had other factors in picking breed/pup - wifey and daughter have severe spring allergies last spring kid had to indoors for 2 months at preschool...though dog allergies are from dander, we wanted to play safe with shedding/breed - so pretty much narrowed to one mix i grew up with a shepherd...hair hair hair..all day along...vindia lo grooming/brushing seyyam gaa headphones lo paatal winter - "look at my face in the mirror" spring- "aaduvaari maatalaku ardhaalay veru lay" summer - "yekku tholimettu gattigaa kondanu dhee kotuu" basic gaa...mind lo fix ayithay saal all it takes is a 15-20 min walk...wind chill bhyankar unna days lo kattam awudhee...20-40 is manageable....just saw a guy running at 6 am at 12F i am thinking of fence options too | ||

yes, known to be aggresssive, infact there are trainers out there who out right reject this mix , claiming to be very foul. I had my doubts initially, but she is the sweetest things, as sweet as she can get. I have made sure that she turns out friendly.. she trusts humans more than fellow dogs, she knows humans are on higher pecking order. intiki evaru vachina, she things they came to play with her. infact until my first was born, even if strangers knocked on the door she used to get her toys to them to play. friends andharu .. intiki dongalu vasthe emi ekkada unaayo idhe choopinche la undhi ani... lol.. Bella inspired three of our friends to get a pet, who did not like/scared/care for dogs. even at 5 years, when i take her out, people ask me about her, the breed and how good her temparement she has. i guess i got lucky. | ||

aaa india lo katti padesthaam for most of the time they bark for attention, going out to pee/poop or when new ppl come ( old wallu ayina , in their own world they are new) mom house lo current dog can peep into the hall, kitchen as the windows are low and kept open...she doesnt bark ikkada chaala rare unless they dog is going through some issues like anxiety, needs to go out to pee/poop etc maa community lo every street has a dog or two as pets avg gaa per 10 houses. ..never heard barking friend walla dog nee walk sesthaan sometimes...appudu windows nundi grrrr grwrr ani sounds vasthaa untaay | ||

@M_S:she was a 8 week pup, confused of the new place - she was scared to even take a step and would take forever to move. the first few nights they get very uncomfortable as they miss the litter, curling around their siblings. Bella cried quite a bit the first night, I took her out of crate, and put on my chest and sleep on the recliner. she used to find that comforting and used to doze off. I read somewhere that our heartbeat calms them down. After transfering back to the crate she would cry again, in an hour so and I used to repeat the same. the first few nights we bonded really well. when I was going to work i used to leave my shirt that i was wearing in her crate, and she would curl up in the shirt for comfort. -------------- annay pindesav annay pindesav  , she is very lucky though ila dogs ni chestharani, cheyyacchu ani naku no idea, even though we had three dogs at one point of time in our house. nenu tecchukunnappudu ee post gurthettukovali , thanks for sharing | ||

Shleters are like dharma satrams for animals, they have rescued and abandoned animals, so in general animals with no owners. But because there are so many of them with no one to claim, and also because there is no room for them in the shelters, those animals are eventually put down. You get them pretty cheap. If its not too late, I suggest to adopt from shelters. Thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized in this country because of lack of takers. Anyways, good luck - chinna pillalni chooskunnattu chooskovali . Preventive medicine is important - regular vaccines, deworming, flea and mosquito control etc. Purebred ayithe inka jagratha. MS acclimatization is a big first step as you said our breeder said they will miss their siblings - fill a couple big soda bottles with warm water and place in crate for couple of days, hearbeat bear etc lanti ideas ichindhee right now i have more of "the harder way is the right way" approach as other three family members at home are bound to pamper her last weekend visiting day undaali...me and son missed it as he had a game wifey and daughter went...and spent 2-3 hours with her initially shy but later on playful ani chepparu went to a pet store to see what we are getting into self wash option undhi where they clean up after you..thought it was a cool idea first 2 weeks we are planning to stay at home ....unfortunately she has to grow up fast | ||
