Nope.. you have to start all over.. only exception is if PR is not 5 yrs old yet i.e not expired, you can still try to enter, POE officer will use his discretion to let you IN or not (most likely they will), after that meet 2 yrs of continuous presence criteria and renew PR.. physical presence prove chesukunte ok.. i.e 2 out of 5 yrs.. doesn't have to be continuous.. even 1 minute spent in Canada counts as 1 day of physical presence.. you don't have to pay taxes/have home to meet physical presence criteria.. After 3 yrs of getting PR if you try to move there for good, they will grill you on physical presence criteria at POE.. Most likely they will let you IN, but you have to spend next 2 yrs inside Canada to accumulate those days and can get your PR renewed.. Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events.
