Complete details. Again copying here from pakka db: friends cousin wife working Washington dc, poe iad friday 7PM arrived went to secondary screening around 7:45 PM till 10Pm asked all questions like job, i797, employer, masters where, how long working, how many employers before, why change employer, why no work 2 months(without pay) on opt, checked all pay stubs and w2 from past 5 yeras, 5 officers grilled at around 11-11:30 gave some juice to drink and early morning 2am again other officer came (lady officer) asked about current employer, client, vendor etc details and resume gave original hard copy resume she took all details left no response till 6am morning 6am officer came gave coffee 7am informed that they need to verify few details and asked if she has client or vendor cell number provided cell number of client manager and vendor other office came (lady) with resume from vendor and rest is history | ||

Just friend send mail. This is really experience in his own words from his email. He is planning to contact attorney "While travelling back to USA from India this weekend, we got held up at the immigration counter where the officer claimed that I have been on H1B for too long (10 years) and that is not allowed. I tried to tell him that H1B can be extended beyond the 6 year limit when I have an approved I-140 immigrant petition. He said that I should have an advance parole. My understanding is that I should have a pending I-485 to get an advance parole. I told him that and he asked me to wait in the secondary screening area. After waiting for over an hour there, they let me go saying that I should travel with an advance parole next time. This was a terrible experience for us since we were travelling with a toddler who was tired and cranky and we were tired as well after 30+ hours of travelling. It also makes me anxious about coming back to US the next time." |
