try to increase mielage by 10% every week. Yu will be really surprised how fast you can reach your 10%. Running is 70% mental, 20% preparation and 10% actual running.

by nature...half ki you dont need much preparation.. Try to practice upto 10miles. On the week of half marathon..consume more carbs and start sipping plenty of fluids (not alcohal) 2-3 days before the event.
Day before the event eat carbs for your meals.
