Executor:Also, if you are managing a team which is a mix of thellollu and desis, we tend to be too hard on the desis in fear of thellollu thinking that you are favoring desis. This is a big No. Don't hesitate to give a push/support to desi guy if he/she is doing well. If the desi happens to be the top performer, don't hesitate to announce that.

To me, telollani manage cheyyatam easy. Give them their objectives and expectations. Let them know that you trust theme to deliver on time and leave them alone barring weekly updates. Worked wonders for me. Step up and help if they are falling behind. Nallollu matram na valla nahin. Not open to change at all. Promote cheyyamani savadobbutaru. |

Itzpetergriffin:
You dont try to act to impress them with our generic DESI slave mentality. Dont forget that you are hired to make them work. |

Itzpetergriffin:
The key in managing thellollu is gaining their confidence. Once you accomplish that it is 100 times easier than managing desis. And the tip to gain confidence is to be readily available to solve thier problems and willing to help when they are in need and at the same time being tough and firm to let them know when they are not meeting your expectations. They like the guy who is approachable and at the same time doesn't take crap. Also, we desis tend to take granted about the team's accomplishments. Make sure you always appreciate, compliment and recognize every success. Also, if you are managing a team which is a mix of thellollu and desis, we tend to be too hard on the desis in fear of thellollu thinking that you are favoring desis. This is a big No. Don't hesitate to give a push/support to desi guy if he/she is doing well. If the desi happens to be the top performer, don't hesitate to announce that. Also thellollu are great actors. They have this concept of boss is a boss, so why mess with him. So they act submssive and accept you as their boss wholeheartedly from day 1. Don't believe that and relax. It takes time to gain their confidence |
