In 2004, I have purchased an Air-India code-share (with Singapore Airlines) ticket since there was a family emergency and I dont have any other option. My return flight needs to be changed since I was still waiting for my stamped passport from US Consulate in India. To change the return date, I need to PERSONALLY go EVERYDAY Morning to the Air India Booking office (Hillfort Rd near Assembly building), sit in the waiting line for few hours and find if there is a possibility for my return date change. (while the same can be done only once if I call Singapore Airlines. I cant do this since My ticket was sold by Air India). Ultimately after few days, I got a ticket for THAT SAME day. I went to the Airport, I am supposed to get boarding pass for Hyd flight(HYD-SIG) and for singapore flight (SIG to USA) at the same time at Hyd airport itself. They said that my SIG-USA boarding pass would be given in SIG since my name was not yet updated in their list(this is at HYD airport Air India desk). I took the flight to SIG at SIG, they are saying that my name is not in the list and they cant let me to take SIG-USA flight(no boarding pass). I was in flux. They have advised me to to to Air India office in a different terminal in Singapore Airport(it was 7 AM in the morning). I took a train to go there. No one is around in the counters. There is a phone near by.. called Air India, no one ie lifting the phone(as usual, if they lift the call, that would be the NEWS). Came back to the Singapore Airlines Terminal with another train. I am in a flux at that time since I dont have a boarding pass and my flight is going to leave in the next 30 min to USA. I dont know what to do and whom to speak.. I was waiting all the day(flight is gone). At last, the Singapore Airline folks was sad about my story. They said that they will talk to Air India and if they confirm, they may accommodate in another flight if there is any spot. The next day I was able to travel at the mercy of Singapore Airlines. Till date, Air India never have responded for SEVERAL letters etc. Imagine if I am with a family with kids OR the same situation for parents traveling etc? | ||

I did similar mistake last year. I went thru Air France from JFK to France to Blore to Hyd. travelled air india couple of weeks back .. air hostess are all 40+ and in some case 50+ ... what this means is they dont care and replies are rude many times .. i asked for hindu veg while booking ticket .. i got 4th row from front and by the time my turn came hindu veg was over  and this was lunch so i had to bear with some pasta they offered which was a disaster .. whole middle row video was broken .. full 12 hour flight was torture for that many passengers due to no movies etc flights [ intnl ] get delayed regularly causing heartburns to those that have connecting flights .. only good thing is air india planes are dreamliners by boeing and it is really top class in terms of how it handles turbulence etc .. domestic flights lo indigo is the best .. i flew air india, qatar, emirates in my last 3 trips.. air india - better service, food, and much better leg space..but delhilo horrible wait..and equipment within the flight(audio video etc) is all broken..and i dont remember if had to carry luggage in delhi..but that gate change process is little bit chaotic..manolaki management raadu.. qatar/emirates- good food, excellent video collections..ok serivce..bad/horrible leg space due to which entire travel time is painful..but smooth gate change process.. overall travel in all these airlines is just bad anthe..eppudu elthamu ra babu anattu untadhi situation.. | ||

Luggage check is not that difficult , kaane you need to get out of the Airpot and go through scanners , aadhi pedda torture and horrible Ladies /Gents aane line seperate chesadu , finally ladies ni gents ni luggage scanner ki kalipesadu , too much pusing and pulling , literally yell chesanu , they did let me go because my kids are so small and they are cyring, If not the security might have man handleded me as I was the only one questioning why they seperated me from the family - | ||
