here is the final update on this. Total collected - Rs. 67,000 Fees paid for this year - Rs. 25,000 Remaining amount did fixed deposit on kid's name and kept with Principal for next year fees and other small expenses. I spoke with the kid this morning and he thanked all who chipped in for the help. He also mentioned that this money would be sufficient for him to complete his Engg., degree and vowed to do his best in studies. One of the persons who coordinated all this in Guntur promised to help the kid by giving weekend employment in his business. I have copies of the fees receipt and deposit if anyone wants to take a look.
