March 31st 2016 last day for conversion of PIO to OCI (they have extended these changed this 3-4 times). It is not mandatory...kaani you are strongly encouraged to apply antaaru worast fellows. | ||

It is too close. Visa is best option. More than 1 month stay ayithe go for visitor visa where stay period can be upto 6 months. Visitor visa 1 month lo ochestadi. CKGs will have original passport only during match-up process which takes about 2 - 4 weeks. In case of emergency travel during this time...one needs to take emergency appointment with ckgs. araachakam amma....no update after more than 2 months on two applications (walk in counter submitions), reply to an email to CKGS was 'WAIT THINGS ARE TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED'. Finally got an update but for only one application...googled and got an email ID of a Delhi office guy...emailed him " bedar I submitt 2 application but update 1 application only". he was nice..replied promptly but still confusing..."bedar we in Delhi recieved only one application..that bloody atlanta people no sending the 2nd application". My heart sank...adara badara emailed Atlanta consulate.."eskuse me anybody there????" one wk over no reply..I waiting waiting waiting...no response..try to calling calling calling..no use...finally decided to go to the consulate (lucky me, I live in the same city)...big anouncement on the website "everyday 11:00AM please come..full helping"....adara badaraaaa going to consulate...reception girl...very cutely and sweetly saying...sorry..answering guy absent today...write your phone number on a paper..I giving to him..and he calling you today..tomorrow or day after tomorrow...(OK I got my answer) Thanks. Small bulb glowing in my head..went to CKGS office (as it is like right next door)...bootiful black aanti serious kocchening..why I come...I answer....one aplication status check..another total application search...she searching both applications...and telling they are both here for match up for a few days now.... me..  but thanked all gods...and submitted the passports for match up....vimmediate update email coming...hope everything goes smooth for the next 5-7 days. mee pinda kudu ra rey..assalu lottry ticket koni wait chesinattu aa process and update yenti.... assalu okkokka vurlo consulate ki separate set of rules/ documents yenti...what the frock man... basic ga cheppocchedetante...yemi update lekunte ckgs office kivellandi (atleast after two months update lekunte naaku malle).
