Learn the concepts and gain knowledge on Data Science. Dont narrow yourself to hadoop which is more specific. Temporarily joining BO or hadoop project is fine to sustain, but always keep it more broad and open(data scientist) | ||

I am doing MS in CS, Data Science as Major. I am interested in Hadoop and trying to get proficient in it. One of my known person told me that he can place me with SAP Business objects skill in PA. But, I have heard that this doesn't have that much longevity. My main goal is to earn money here and start my own company in future. (This may not make any sense here, but just saying). Is it good option to take up SAP BO job and get H1 and then change to my technology of interest or stick to Hadoop now itself and try to get a job on it(dont know how much time it may take). I am thinking of getting certified on Hadoop by this December. I dont have any prior work experience on Java or Hadoop, but have done an internship back in India on SQL for less than an year. What would you people suggest? |
