I know one couple who has one kid only to support they did not go for second. Send the kid to pvt schools only and then to IVY league. great and good luck. Another couple after pvt school initially switched to Magnet and kids feel Magnet is better than pvt now Basically advise the kid to do best, put your efforts as parent and don't pressurize. Someone else's kid is in MIT/YALE/Harvard does not mean my kid has to be there. Nope. This is purely my for my satisfaction only. Having said that getting into YALE is not that impossible though little difficult. A good score of SAT with very good academics up to 12th might put a student in Yale. IMP thing is which area the kid studies and how much kid is able to take the pressure. I met a with a kid (couple years back) who scored like 2385 our 2400 in SAT and did under grad in Finances. Got placed into some big company in NYC. But in reality not many score that much but still get into Yale, mostly depends on which specialization one takes. Mirror is my true friend,it won't laugh when I cry | ||

 I teach telugu to kids in my area (since almost 10 plus years) and also got involved with local telugu assn quite a while. Yale vaaLLu ikkada oka kurroD telugu nerchukovali anTunnaD ani chesina enquiry lo naa peru was recommended. Though I don't need to prove anything academic, I need explain my proficiency in that language and then they check if it's suitable for teaching. Once done about 8 years back for the first time I am in their database and they send whenever there is a need. This would be my fifth time with Yale with a skip of last year and previous. Every year YALE funds certain students who wish take courses in any language. Usually Kids take their mother tongue to catch up with their lost touch. In thier Orientation program yesterday when they displayed TELUGU for this Sem, chest ubbings by an extra 2 inches and akul full Repa Repa. Every year on an average about 50 languages are taught for one full semester.
