all in all... Steelers are better than what i thought their defense is... they got 2 drives stopped... they got couple of sacks... good plays here and there... they did a forced fumble.... but recovered by gronk... there is light at the end of the tunnel....
Pats are unstoppable with Gronk, Edleman and Brady.... their defense is only going to get better...

My review of Steelers vs Pats:
Steelers:
Offense:
Offensive Line: Kummi dobbaru... HOF coach is greatest decision Mike TOmlin ever made.
Quater Back: Best in business.
RBs: OL keka unnappudu running game automatic ga update avvuddi... example...
WRs: HOF talent Antonio Brown di.... Wheaton is not bad...
TEs: Miller is miller.... best in business...
Steelers Defense:
DL: pretty good... they played well... sometimes they were a second here or there late in getting to brady... but generally they took care of business...
OLB: Bud dupree got the only sack... it has lot to improve.
ILB: Ryan SHazier is going to be a beast... man... he is terrific... he needs some experience and he can be disruptive... Tomlin has to quickly change the scheme to 4-3 and take full advantage of his ILBs...
CBs: 
Safetys: Mike Mitchell was awesome whenever he is not against Gronk.
Coaching:
OC tod haley: worst na matta calling. First drive lo Running game work avuthnnappudu trick play was unnecessary.. killed the momentum.
some of the plays were awesomely called...and some were really questionable...
DC: keith butler: worst play calling in secondary... gronk ni 1-1 coverage aa... orey errip....
HC Mike tomlin: couldnt get secondary ready for gronk... worst. Josh scobee decision was worst... should have kept the other guy who trained all season with steelers...

Default Conspiracy Theory of a bills fan: The inside job and the future of the AFC East
Too many coincidental events this week. I hate the Patriots and have been rather outspoken on the ways they continually cheat and get away with it.
In a vacuum, tonight would have been status quo for the Pats with this activity getting swept under the rug. Coupled with the events of the past few weeks, I can't help but feel that the headset communication failures possibly stemmed from beyond the Patriots organization. Let's recap:
1. The owners communicate to Goodell that Brady's punishment MUST stand.
2. Brady gets off scot free.
3. ESPN releases a huge article on the Patriots underhanded methods to gaining a significant competitive advantage. A major aspect of this being the tomfoolery with opposing teams' headsets when the Patriots are at home.
4. In a Primetime game the very same week, the Steelers experience major headset malfunctions that are actually acknowledged by the announce team.
Normally I'm quick to point the finger at Bellicheck and the Patriots, but tonight I hesitate. I think the other owners have had it. I think we are seeing the start of a setup. Spygate was quickly disposed of when it happened. Why was this ESPN article released now?
Remember when the NFL forced ESPN to take off the show "Playmakers" due to concerns of how that show would affect public opinion of the NFL? The image of the NFL is why that ESPN story never made it out when it was most relevant. The NFL has a heavy hand in what we actually see from ESPN. That story made it out because the NFL owners have allowed it to happen.
Why would the NFL owners allow this to happen? They've been livid since Spygate. Enough is finally enough. Everybody knows Brady was guilty. The court system wouldn't bring justice, now the matter is being taken into their own hands. Releasing this article plants the NFL audience firmly in a position where the Patriots will be under a microscope and judged as harshly as possible.
Within this same week we have a PrimeTime game with the first NFL Regular Season action underway featuring the Patriots at home. Most NFL fans are watching and the ESPN story is fresh in our minds. Sure enough, major headset malfunctions derail Pittsburgh. Unlike the past 15 years, the announcers actually acknowledge that this is taking place. The fans are now ready to point the finger, this is just like the article. Better yet, Tomlin's comments echo the validity of the ESPN article.
Call me a skeptic, but I see too many coincidences. In light of all that has transpired, I find it hard to believe that the Patriots would be brash enough to pull that headset stunt in this game and in such a visible manner. The owners want blood. I expect it to get worse for the Patriots before it gets better.
Ultimately, I could see Bellicheck getting a forced exit. He is the one the owners despise most of all. The culture of cheating revolves around Bellicheck. How soon will this happen? I can't be sure, but things are moving at an awfully quick pace. I tend to believe what goes around comes around. Bellicheck may wind up getting banned for a crime he didn't commit. In my opinion, the ends justify the means. He should have been banned back when Spygate broke out.
So what would this mean for the Bills and the rest of the AFC East? A changing of the guard for the AFC East. The Bills look like the prime candidate to unseat the Patriots in the fallout. |

oka good post on Colts forum about Pats.
I thought this deserves its own thread in light of the "controversy" last night, and the things that have gone on (whether legal or not) at Gillette Stadium over the years.
This isn't about what the Pats may or may not be doing to other teams. It's the PERCETPION of it all. From the ESPN report, to SpyGate, to Manning saying they used to think the locker rooms were bugged, to headset issues....with few exceptions, teams are already beaten or at least mentally off focus before even setting foot on the field at Gillette.
Look at last night. Scobee misses two kicks, and he's a pretty reliable kicker over his career. Vinatieri missed a few last season, and he's usually money. The Pats use a LEGAL D line shift and draw off the Steelers for an false start. The refs aren't going to give the visiting teams many calls (note: this happens for away teams across the league, not just Gillette). The Colts go in last season and, a week after playing great defense and beating Denver, got virtually shut out in the AFCC.
My point is this: all of this nonsense about cheating/spying is playing right into the Patriots hands. Teams just need to go in there and not give a rats butt about any of that stuff. The Ravens have done it a few times, the Jets once....but there is a good reason the Gillette has the highest home team winning percentage since the AFL/NFL merger in 1970.
Again, this is not another post whining about "cheating." It's about a home field advantage that clearly rattles most teams that play there. Sure, a lot of it is the superior coaching of Belichick and company. The fact they started 3 rookies on their OL and only allowed 2 sacks, and gave Brady his usual 10 seconds to throw, should attest to that. Or a defense missing 6 starters from a year ago shut down one of the better offenses in the league in the red zone....but again, I personally think the Pats are in most teams' heads before the game even starts. |

NFL security is investigating Pittsburgh Steelers tight ends coach James Daniel for allegedly assaulting and verbally accosting a New England Patriots fan on the way to the locker room before halftime Thursday, according to league sources.
A league official confirmed the NFL is aware of the incident and is looking into it. A Steelers spokesman said NFL security has informed them about the incident and the team is also investigating.
The incident in question occurred before and after halftime of the Steelers' 28-21 loss on Thursday night. Daniel, who was on his way to the Steelers locker room, was seen allegedly kicking a Patriots fan in the back of his leg and yelling at the fan in front of witnesses.
By the time Daniel returned to the coaching booth after halftime, police and NFL security were waiting for him. Once the coach was identified by witnesses, and police approached him about controlling his behavior, Daniel began shouting at the police officer, according to witnesses.
NFL security, which did not witness the exchange with police, interviewed Daniel afterward about the entire incident, according to sources. |

Not saying Butler it top notch ... From the first pass to the last one (except for 2) butler was sticky on brown ..
But it's brown's greatness and big ben's accuracy on those throws ... Any other WR would have dropped half of those passes with that coverage .. |

NEP - I am not sure why haley needs to be fired....he did decent, they ran the ball very well....they missed 2 field goals....they did not get tds in first 3 series of redzone trips due to penalties, missed throws etc etc

I was in bed long before the conclusion of the game, but I couldnât stop laughing in the first half when Al Michaels let it be known to the TV audience the Steelers coaches were listening to the Patriotsâ radio broadcast of the game. As soon as I saw league people scrambling behind the Steelersâ bench, I knew it was the headsets. I had long been writing about this issue in this column. This is nothing new to me. Itâs just now itâs humorous.

On Thursday night, it was the headsets.
It didnât matter that the Patriots beat the Steelers by a touchdown at home, with Tom Brady â a guy whoâs in the discussion for best quarterback ever â playing probably the greatest season opener of his career. It didnât matter that on multiple plays the Steelers appeared to forget to cover Rob Gronkowski, the number-one tight end in football, who scored three touchdowns.
It was the headsets.
Right.
On Thursday night, for periods of much of the first half, the Steelers coaches were unable to communicate over their headsets because of interference from the Patriotsâ radio broadcast. After the game, the NFL explained that they provide the headsets to both teams, and the issue was one that affected both teams due to the rainy conditions and the set-up at Gillette Stadium.
It didnât matter. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, miffed, said that his coachesâ radios never work against the Patriots. âThatâs always the case. Yes. I said what I said,â Tomlin said.
And hereâs the thing. It doesnât matter that the Patriots also complained of the same issues â Belichick said he had to switch microphones multiple times and they were going to switch out Tom Bradyâs helmet at one point. It doesnât matter that the NFL issued a statement that they handled both teamsâ headsets and the Patriots did nothing wrong.
Everyone thinks the Patriots cheated. And the Patriots only have themselves to blame.
Thatâs what you get when, in the words of Charlie Murphy, youâre a habitual line stepper. Was letting a little air out of a football a big deal? Iâd argue no. Was filming opposing teamsâ signals a big deal, even when those teams are making those signals in front of 80,000 people? Meh. You could make a case, but not really.
Was it a big deal to go into an opponentsâ locker room, as an ESPN report alleges, and see if they could grab any play sheets the other team had left around? Well, actually, yeah that one is a big deal.
Is having the other teamâs headsets repeatedly cut out a big deal, even if itâs happening to both teams? According to the NFL, no.
But hereâs the thing, when all those small to medium things add up, that constant flirting with the line, you get a reputation. Patriots fans can say all they want about jealousy and the other teams just wanting to take down the king, and there probably is a little bit of that. But come on.
The Patriots earned this. They stepped over the line so many times that their credibility is gone. People will always think theyâre cheating now, no matter what. Until Bill Belichick and Brady are gone, or until the Patriots lose 10 games a season and no one cares about them, people will think the Patriots are cheating.
This drives Patriots fans insane. They get indignant and come up with wild conspiracy theories. But they should probably just adopt the attitude of Belichick on this one. Just own it. People will always think youâre a cheater, so stop caring what people think.
Throw on those cargo shorts, smile at the press, and get on with it. What else can you do?

as for game review goes:;
1)pats has average defense and bad run defense d-will kurrod looked like hofer
but this is where genius will make adjustments
2)brady has to finish passes to amendola he missed to keep defenses honest
3)red zone d was asusual very good for pats
inka steelers ki osthe::
1)bad coaching job no adjustments watsover
2)defense looked bad front 7 is fine though if not brady they can do better
3)big ben apart from 4-5 very good throws he played pretty mediocre
long season so week 1 is too soon to talk abt enitre season outlook |
