CHENNAI: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India is offering a reward of up to Rs 25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for the killing of a goat outside a theatre at Vikarabad in the Ranga Reddy district Telangana screening Telugu movie 'Bahubali'. The goat was allegedly sacrificed by superstitious fans for the success of the movie, said a release from PETA adding, the filmmakers were not responsible for the incident. PETA India CEO Poorva Joshipura said, "The defenceless goat would have been conscious, able to feel pain and aware of what was happening until its death, which may have been slow and agonising. PETA is urging anyone with information about this violent crime to come forward now, before any other animal gets hurt."
