my thoughts are cynical but this is what i think 1. nature has programmed us to love small and cute. So that the species can survive. 2. we feel that giving love is an emotional investment. it is better give it young than the old because young people will survive for a longer time | ||

When i call my parents and tell them i want to come to india for them, they will say "Don't think about us, think about you and your kids and what is best for them" antaaru. Never, for me the order is always same Parents, Wife and then only kids.
