Addendum 2: @brian30tw pointed out that NE's big improvement in fumble rate occurred in '07, precisely when the NFL's rule allowing visiting teams to bring their own balls went into effect. Other teams didn't have such good fortune.

Getafix:my point is - deflating balls is something directly between QB and equipment people.. Coach or other FO people may not be aware of this.
this was my post in other thread I guess
If QB wants balls to be deflated and let know Equipment guy, Equipment guy will go to Manager and ask for permission, manager will go to owner/coach etc etc.....so all along HC and Owner do know it.
