Did you check if there is lint in the charging area, if not...remove the lint with tooth pick and try charging again ...

5s ayithe there is an option to replace battery for free in apple store..

apple website lo you can check if ur model is eligible for replacement or not...am sure most of 5s models are eligible
i know at least 5 people who changed it for free..
