One of the few players who give it all even knowing that they have 0.001 % chance .. That's troy for me .. Troy is an inspiration to all the young players who lay it on the field instead of taking it easy .. the latter should learn from troy .. Selfless player ... When i got introduced to the NFL .. Congrats Sir."Forty three" for retiring from the game. You have given your all for us in these 12 years and we appreciate that and will be thankful for ever. YOU WERE THE GREATEST STEELER OF MY GENERATION..NOBODY EVEN COMES CLOSE..YOU WERE THE BEST AND MOST CLASSIEST PERSON TO WEAR AND REPRESENT THE YELLOW AND BLACK... Never Taunted anybody, never had a bad word for anybody, never threw teammates or coaches under the bus, Never a single problem off the field, Never took games or plays off, Never shied from helping younger players(which is the 1 complaint that I had against Brett Favre)... You just came in ...gave your all and played..you are an inspiration to the younger players on how to approach, practice, study and play the game.... There are innumerable plays that you made for us that will always live with me. I can never forget that 40 yrd Int TD off joe flacco in 2008 AFC championship game,,,I will never forget the 1 handed full length dive Int off philip rivers, nor the strip sack game changer off joe flacco on the road at baltimore..There are very few players, if at all any, who can do the snap sack off kerry collins that you did...Imagine a safety sacking a qb who is under centre and the ball just snapped...not even 1 sec gap after ball snap..If anybody did not see this play, do yourself a favor and watch it in YT.. Always felt proud when offensive co-ords and QB's said in pre game interviews that they had a guy wear a wig similar to troy in practice because they want to practice spotting troy's location on every single play Finally, thanks for making watching NFL fun for me. I still remember, it was Brett Favre and TROY who drew me to the game..I am also thankful for all the 3 superbowls you took us to in your time. I acknowledge that without you, we would not have reached even 1 among those 3 superbowl games.... THERE WILL ALWAYS BE ONLY 1 "FORTY-THREE".. STEELER FOOTBALL WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU.. |
