actually compared to AD where the relation is b/w hero and his menatta, SOS has a bigger draw - hero and his father's goodwill. aite, "maa nanna goppavadu" ani prove chese vidhanam (execution) lo pedda flaw undi. with too many side threads and making folks realize on his father's greatness, u do not travel with the hero character like we did in AD. second half aite barring some comedy scenes, its difficult to imagine that u r watching a trivikram's movie. maryada ramanna/kandireega choostunna feeling vachindi. | ||

finally Jeevi review Viraj Anand (Allu Arjun) is son of Sathyamurthy (Prakash Raj). Sathyamurthy is a billionaire businessman with great human values. Sathyamurthy dies in an accident. Viraj has 300 crores worth property and loans for the same amount. He has an option to go for insolvency and save 300 crores. But he foregoes 300 crores to make sure that his noble father’s image is not tarnished. Rest of the story is all about how far Viraj goes to live up to the values his father has imbibed him. Artists Performance S/o Satyamurthy jeevi review Actors: Allu Arjun is an entertainer and he performs exceedingly well in a character that goes to any length to protect his father’s reputation. He danced well as usual. He has modulated his dialogue delivery in different ways in this movie. One of such different modulation is inspired by Chiranjeevi’s drunken scenes. Samantha is cute as the main leading lady. Adah Sharma is limited to first half of the movie and she is fine. Nitya Menen is limited to second half and her role doesn’t require an actress of her calibre. Prakash Raj is perfect for the role of father. Upendra is played vital character. Rajendra Prasad played a character of varied attributes. Rao Ramesh is his usual self. Ali is alright. Brahmanandam’s character introduction is good. Sampath Raj is wasted in a role of limited screen-time. Vennela Kishore’s role is ineffective. Though acted in a few scenes, Sree Vishnu is brilliant. Chaitanya Krishna played a small role of a docile lover. Sneha played Upendra’s wife and she is adorable. Sindhu Tolani does a nice role. Technical departments S/o Satyamurthy jeevi reviewStory - screenplay - direction: The basic story idea of son upholding the values and esteem of his deceased father is a very potential one. Trivikram is a director who has thrived on family values in his films (except for Khaleja and Jalsa). He revealed the basic plot point in the first 10 minutes of the movie (like he did for Attarintiki Daaredi). He had one heroine dedicated to 1st half, another one to second half and the main heroine for entire movie. He had 3 major character artists as villains who later become good men (each one is related to one heroine). Since, the story involves three romantic threads and has conflicts with three character artists/villains (each villain has a family problem), it’s very difficult to write a screenplay that keeps reminding audience of the main goal of hero. In Attarintiki Daaredi, it had a single goal of impressing his maternal aunt and has a straightforward narration. But in SoS, it’s a three phase action plan of convincing three people in order to uphold his father’s esteem. Because the screenplay is not gripping enough, the emotional connection (audiences traveling along with hero and sympathising with his problem) becomes tentative. S/o Satyamurthy jeevi review Other departments: Songs scored by Devi Sri Prasad are alright. I personally liked Super Machi song on screen. Background music is okay. Trivikram who is the best dialogue writer in Telugu film industry comes up with nice humor-laced and thought-provoking dialogues. Cinematography by Prasad Murella is picturesque. Art direction by S Ravinder is good. Action sequences composed by Peter Hein are partly good. Prawin Pudi is fine with editing, but runtime looks lengthy (it’s director call anyway). Producer S Radha Krishna (Chinababu) has spent a lot of money on production and casting. S/o Satyamurthy jeevi review Analysis: Both Allu Arjun and Trivikram are at high point of their career after delivering Race Gurram and Attarintiki Daaredi respectively. Hence, we expect another hugely satisfying film from their combination. Son of Sathyamurthy has got good intention and good moral values. But director Trivikram didn’t succeed in giving a smooth ride for us this time due to ineffective screenplay and too many characters (subplots too). First half: heavily doused with family sentiment and values. very less entertaining elements. Second half: better entertainment quotient with RP & Brahmi. However, weak and slow second half. Issue is, we cannot make an emotional connection with hero and his cause of saving his father's goodwill due to too many threads involving 3 heroines and their respective fathers whose outlook he changes (towards his father). | ||

*Trivikram Srinivas is a Brand synonym to Clean family entertainers even at his worst performance day ! * Rarely he delivers illogical Junk !! * We never see him fail with PEN especially !! But, in S/O Satyamurthy he partially succeeded in first point minus "entertainment" ! Plus He delivered illogical kichidi movie , failed with PEN !! In SOSMurthy, the whole story/core point been explained in first 15 to 20 minutes and since then expansion of the plot has utterly failed. Ivvala repu chinna chitaka writers/directors kuda ee cinemalo trivk kanna chala better job chesthunnaru Story : PrakashRaj is a rich 300 Crores businessman who dies in a road accident and then all his business empire cripples post death. Son Alluarjun refuses to file bankruptcy , rather prefers to pay off his father's debits. The reason he conveys to his well-wishers, who advised to file bankruptacy, is he doesn't want to earn bad name for his father ( post death ) ; Till then interesting point, narrated in appealing to families. Trivikram portrays the materialistic / money mindedness of the rich people very well. He seems cynic about the real life achievers in his movies. Be it NRIs/IT guys/Rich business people he always paint them in -ve way, however that's just my observation but no issue All such good start of the movie ends in first 20 minutes and then onwards its weakest first half of the trivik movies. No punch dialogues, zero entertainment and bad songs made on the whole first half as below average one; Allu arjun starts on his own to earn money as wedding organizer, in process meets samantha who is daughter of RP. Eventually cinematically alluarjuna challenges with RP to get his piece of lost commercial land back on the condition RP has to agree to marry his daughter to ALLU.....and rest is the rest of the movie; In second half, story moves to tamilnadu village where upendra lives. HYD lo unde billionaire RP konna plot ni TN interior village lo unde upendra litigation lo konadam emito danni vidipinchadaniki allu arjun TN velli valla intlo digi typical telugu cinema 268th time same scenes create cheyyadam emito....not at all trivik mark...illogical twists, laughing gas peelchi koorchunna navvu raani junk comedy ( ayite deeniki kuda oka 10-15 minutes koncham navvulu vinipinchaayandooo overall movie duratioon lo idokkate) , neerasamaina prolonged length dialogues tho chiraaku dobbinchi chivariki end chestaadu. Songs : I could not recollect/remeber even one ; all sucks Action : Alluarjun did good , his trade mark leki action ledhu.He did decently in this movie ! No steps in songs will be a disappointing factor for his dance fans samantha has limited screen time, nothing to perform and wasted Nitya menon : please less talk abt her Family movie ne gani family entertainer kaadhu...preaching n preaching....page la page la preachings valana tala tokaa leni scens twists valla naakesindhi Boxoffice : USA lo manchi openings vachaayi brand trivikram ki , esp post AD fever plus perfect planned release in USA in very high number of theatres; web reviewers ni manage chesthe 900K daaka gross collect cheyyochu full run lo....India lo kuda cities varaku 20-25% losses tho end avutundhi, B C llo 50% loss avutaaru MY RATING 2.75/5 A disappointing trivikram movie ! |
