its a tricky question.. sometimes we look at the teams and feel this team deserves to win, but in the end that almost never happens. but to met this year around, india should win, the reason being, it will be a testament to the effort that BCCI has done to the game. Politics aside, the domestic processes laid out, the training faculties, the management trying to keep the game afloat, is a great study to me. greater teams without that commitment have faltered. On the other side of the coin, this team has a bunch of players, who are not among the greatest of all, when it comes to individuals, almost similar to the SL team which won the WC. India winning will once again show that its a team game, and how much ever few players may be, they cant win it all. Coming to Dhoni, i feel this time around he is much better that what he was during the WC. Batting wise not so much, but this WC he has been the better among his peers. So to me, yes, Dhoni should win it. other wise NZ or WI should win it. Aus and SA should not win it. Aus because, I just dont like them to win. SA bacause, they are a mediocre team, i am not talking individual players, and I want that to be proved. If Pak wins, i feel in the long run, it will only do more harm to them in the long run. If BD wins, well it cant be any better. not much feelings for SL, but i dont like to see Sangakkara win. he is a great techinical batsmen, but is a cunning guy!. | ||
