sorry guys, not understanding alot of the questions. if the other guy, did not realize it was a fake note, he was the one with negative 1000, and the lady and shop keeper had a fair deal. in this case the shop keeper returned the fake 1000 to the shop keeper 1, which him puts in the negative 1000. who ever ends up with the fake note is the with -1000. | ||

here is the calculation: let's assume shopkeeper had X amount in the register: he gave the good (200) to the lady and he got 200 added to his register for that good (gamaninchalsindi enti ante lady deggara 1000 teesukuni pakka shop lo change techi ayana 200 register lo pettukuni 800 ichesaadu)...so, until now he had X + 200 in his register next pakka shop vadu vachi 1000 pattukellaadu...means X + 200 - 1000 = X - 800 so, 800 + 200 (good gone) = 1000 loss | ||

Let me see who is smarter on this group ð Challenge Answer if u can (This was asked in IAS exam!) A very simple but confusing puzzle. A lady buys goods worth rs.200 from a shop. (shopkeeper selling the goods with zero profit). The lady gives him 1000 rs note. The shopkeeper gets the change from the next shop and keeps 200 for himself and returns rs.800 to d lady. Later the shopkeeper of the next shop comes with the 1000rs note saying "duplicate" and takes his money back. "How much LOSS did the shopkeeper face ?"
