Bhayya I can tell u many stories of student's kastaal... - walking for miles together everyday looking for jobs (car undadu kada) - Redbull's and pills to keep urself awake for night shifts - abuses and gun points - 10+ living in one apt - last but not least naa cousin okkadu suicide kuda cheskunnadu in CA (this is close to graduation) - Unfortunately he never called any of our family members for help! i myself worked for many days without proper sleep... okko sari 50+ hrs with 2-3 hrs sleep... again i was in much better position than my friends.. vaalu aithe weekly 70-80 hrs minimum | ||

New housing development ki no county is giving permission, all they do is find a rare migrationary bird and say.. new houses will kill environment. 2. that is increasing the prices of their 1800 sqft 1 million homes. 3. Because there is no housing available, google, facebook etc companies are not able to attract higher talented people... and highly talented guys want to work in SFO, palo alto etc... 4. So companies are paying crazy salaries.... and giving 1500$ per month additional allowance towards house rents. 5.so employees are paying really high rents... 6. On top of it sillicon biggies are funding real estate developers to replace low scale restaurants will high priced restaurants, groceries like whole foods etc etc... totally a white wash of middle class and non-it guys is happenning in Bay area... if you dont work for any of those biggies.. you are not allowed to stay here any more.. i have a personal target to move out by end of this year. ee life is chaal common bhayya in US universities... naaku personal ga telisina friends kuda used to sleep in gas station... and aa gas station rest room use chese vaallu for kaala kruthyaalu in the morning... basically once in 15 days break untadi.. nenu kuda 3 jobs chesina oka semester, day time in university, night time motel la and weekends liquor store... but luckily i had decent roommates so my apt was always clean.. | ||

Brother when I first heard I couldn't believe.But then saw the picture.. What they say is US consulate has given visa for these CA places last two years without any rejections..They know these guys will end up paying from their pocket.. They are happy if they get this hourly jobs in TELUGU restaurants as they treat them well. But heard punjabi place in fremont ave bad even in treating them. Did you ever observe evening 5-7PM telugu guys standing next to "fat Pakistani guy at shalimar". That job has very hot demand it seems. Did you see DOSA place TELUGU students. This restaurant is running totally with students if I am correct. | ||

babu bay area lo 1 bed house in worst neighborhood where there is no bus access is aroun 1700$ and if you need to be close to bus or bart its 2300$s. Compare that to any University Town its $600 for 1 bed. 1 bed lo 3 roomies undey vallu na sinappudu... 1700$ ki 9 roomies is only proportioanl. They shared some stories and if I put here I am not sure if it does any good. There are total 3 colleges in this area which has same mgt..just one building and they all got huge visas... Next to them there are telugu girls and they say their situation is much more worst. You can see them going around restaurants asking for hourly job if u visit Shalimar in the evening... That does not mean ALL are like that this mowry,walnut stories are unbelievable. Some of the girls are doing baby day care it seems... There was one telugu guy(don't want his place) I come across and he said I am ready to do any kind of job. I was helpless but really felt sick when he asked as I couldn't do much. Recently heard him doing "truck parking" security in the night in oakland area. | ||

10K figure I am not sure but I know one college close to FREEMONT that has given around 1K+ visas in 2014. I have a student from my village and he comes to my house. I once went to his apt and saw total 10+ people sharing 2 bedroom. Was really shocked to see and immediately shifted him. They had comforters all over house to the walls!!!!! They shared stories like, One of the rommate is working in Fremont shalimar for less than 5$ an hr of telephone order taking... Another one did a job of holding "card board" sign for 8$ on street. Really felt bad. You can see these guys situation mainly in mowry ave,stevenson ave area. Based on what they said situation has become worst in last 2-3 years with so many visas given in CA. it seems immigration knows but they don't care because these guys are spending their money for fees. | ||
