You got it and that was the plan. Prakasam barriage has highest canal outgoing capacity than any in South India. British planned them and that was the best thing they did to this area. - WE have Three to Vijayawada side(eluru,bandar e.t.c which have more capacity than NSP right,left ) - Backingham canal(one of the widest in whole Andhrapradesh) - Guntur Inside channel To our bad same politicians who oppose this wasted 500 CRORE on meghamadanam comedy  10 years back | ||

You have no answer to my question. "From where you will give water to seema if not this project" Polavaram no more is state govt controlled project. After declaring national lot has changed. "Polavarm Autority" took over it and AP govt has to go as per them. Also another question, Can Jagan sit to Dharna against this project? Why he is running show with Godavari local leaders and instigating things??? | ||

if you are constantly supplying water to the canals by releasing water from Prakasam barrage, cant you utilize the 40 tmcs.. no need of any additional storage too. Since Almatti was completed, almost every year (except 2-3 years) crop season is delayed by 20-25 days.. are you aware of that? if you could divert 15,000 cusecs (for 20-25 days) to Prakasam barrage from Godavari and then to canals (remember, no need of storage)... you would utilize 40 tmc Godavari water for delta easily.. Also Delta farmers can start their crops on time.. | ||

If you oppose this project then Jagan has no right to say for next 7-8 years. "Govt is not giving water to Rayalaseema". Just yesterday he gave big statement that CBN don't want to give water to Seema!!!!!! From which share will you give water if not this project??? If you show source then I am ready to apologize. Good point from you. Polavaram also has some supreme court pending issues so we cannot just wait for that. YSR parties idea is to use this project and put fire in Godavari against TDP. Same mistake of YSR in the form of T formation when there was no issue at all. But I don't think Godavari people are that stupid to blindly follow. Meanwhile next 5-7 years AP can't be at the mercy of KCR's water wastage when needed. Also the project is planned to use GAS turbines.These turbine machinery can later be shifted to any part of AP for reuse. Only thing is in 100-300 acres they put underground pipe lines so they may loose ONE CROP in that process. The bad part is that Right canal(built YSR time and which was again big scam) is completely gone to waste as they took bills but never did lining(ofcourse why do you do lining when you don't know how many years it takes to get water in that canal). This canal requires rework almost through complete stretch. | ||

As a WG, KD or Seema farmer, if i am getting water, do i really care if it is coming from Pattiseema or Polavaram? what is the extra mileage YSRCP would get? wont it potentially cause damage to you in Rayalaseema too? | ||

why your party against Pattiseema? just curious to know if any data points are shared with you internally... it is targetted to irrigate ~4 lakh acres in WG & KD.. per acre, product yield would be 80,000 rs.. Product yield would be 4 lak * 80000rs = 3200 cr from WG & KD farmers Also provides water to Rayala Seema and expected to stabilize 3 lakh acres of ayacut... which will yield 2400 cr for seema farmers.. Total yield would be 5600crs... Assume 50% would go for expenses, it means farmers be beneifited to the extent of 2800 cr per year... Till the Polavaram is ready, it may take 5-6 years, farmers would be benefited to the extent of 10,000+ cr easily in the next 5 years... isnt worth spending 1300 crs for Pattiseema? just want to know if i am missing any logic... |
