The Law of Averages work. Seriously, they aren't a joke! Finally! A movie which satiates the thirst of fans who wanted to see a genuine performance from NTR apart from being a commercial hit. The first web (twitter) review I read was bad. Jst moved on thinkin tht this is it, no respite for us. What followed in the morning was phenomenonal. A talk for which we had to wait for a decade nearly. More than the numbers, was excited abt the praises NTR was receiving. Plot: A corrupt cop turns good against the backdrop of a burning and unfortunately relevant social issue. Analysis: It takes guts for the entire team to attempt so much of negative shade in the protagonist and then try to eek out a commercial winner frm a social message. Things cud hav so easily gone horribly wrong (eg. Narsimhudu) Great work by the director for his screenplay for what was a straightforward storyline. Thought 1st Half was pretty decent in establishing Hero's character through many small but crucial scenes. Only the dog related comedy was a big out of place. 2nd Half simply takes off and never lets down. Every scene is beautifully correlated and the pace is racy. NTR: To showcase stamina of TFI, its futile to talk numbers these days. Every 'Wood' is throwing up phenomenal figs. Real stamina lies in quality of movies, technicians & artists. Proud to say NTR is one such actor we have. It was a Powerhouse Performance. He is simply the best in what he does best. Only great actors like Sr.NTR, SVR & Chiru cud showcase Villainy and Heroism with the same conviction. That is the hallmark of a great actor. And to showcase both of them in the same movie was nothin short of outstanding! There are simply too many great scenes to even begin. A classic, performance wise. I didn't see NTR. All I cud see was a Corrupt & cunning Officer Daya who changes out of guilt and remorse. All other actors were simply perfect for their roles. Special mention to Posani & Bharani. BGM by Mani was outstanding. Special mention to Jaani master for tht Temper song. Puri was simply in his elements. He simply convinced us of a corrupt cop who still had a heart to change. He used Posani as a contrast wonderfully and best part was he cud connect loads of small moments in 1st Half to the drama in 2nd Half. Dialogues and Fights were used sparingly to great effect unlike in BM where there was an overdose. The way Nirbhaya was showcased to great effect in both the court and the end prison scene where we feel justice was served well was simply great! Overall : A wonderful movie told well with the message passed well and combined with memorable characters and performances. Finally, NTRs fans resonated to the Station scene well. Posani twirls his moustache and cries out 'Police'. But really, It was just us instead of him taking pride, doing the same and shouting 'NTR'. Whatever be the final BO numbers, least bothered. This is a performance which shall be cherished for a long time! |
