bought stuff in india - yes. but that doesnt mean i convert my money from white to black..u can use that white money for some other purpose..use part white..use another part to convert black to white in india etc. anyways whatever works for u. | ||

If you have an emergency in desam and they need money from you, it is a nightmare. Make sure you have a reserve there in desam for these kinds of situations. It is an arduous and time consuming task to transfer big amounts from here to there. Learned that lesson hard way. | ||

Xoom has limits on how much you can send to each individual and total $s within a 30 day period, etc...definitely not possible to send $120K immediately via Xoom. Not sure about WU and their rules. | ||

How much time does it take to register and hookup my bank account to xoom? It will take atleast 3 days I guess. Ofcourse we know all these options. All these didn't work and that was the reason we were looking for someone to give cash there to give that to final party immediately. He has icici m2i account and All the balance was in DCU. DCU stopped transferring icici account in NY. DCU said they have to directly wire to India local bank account in Dollars. We didn't have time as land pooling has started and registration had to be done immediately. | ||
