Haha this movie is not for "medhavulu" just a commercial entertainer which was successful at that end..avg cinegoer liked it kids loved it.. Manama is the best big budget movie....Midhunam is the best of the rest... Manam shows an extraordinary gracefulness in music and dialogues, fantastic screenplay (the best TFI screenplay in ages), every element was top notch. | ||

Never before in the history of Telugu cinema has a movie so boring and headache inducing become such a big hit... Race gurram shows in blazing guns and flying bodies, everything that is wrong with Telugu cinema. Absolutely tasteless and disgusting songs, bad screenplay, overly loud (too many characters shouting at the top of their or voice, it is like rubbing your nail on a rough wall), there is not element in the movie that i could claim i liked. There is absolutely no nativity in the movie - Hindi and Bhojpuri villains, Tamil heroine and second hero, Kannada charactor actor, Hindi second heroine. Aa screenplay ento - whatever happened to the Prakash Raj character. They dropped that thread mid way through. Every scene is stretched like a chewing gum, every character shouts at the top of his lungs (i actually muted many scenes). Absolute lack of subtlety. I think our movies are becoming like our TV serials - loud, senseless, too many dubbing voices. Even our comedy has changed for the worse over the past 2-3 years. Earlier that used to be the saving grace. Either my sensibilities are out of tune with the masses who seem to have been driven to being thick skinned and short of hearing with the senseless fare churned out. If this movie got decent rating and collections, i shudder to think how an Aagadu would have been... |
