Agreed, Sanjay Dutt is a convicted criminal in the court of law for possessing illegal weapns (AK-47 or 56) and then destroying the evidence by melting those guns. But I feel we think only from one angle. Dorikinnavadu Donga..Dorakannivadu Dhora. People who are corrupt can go to Assembly & Parliment, People who masterminded bomb blasts are scott free, but people who were REAL scapegoats are cuaght and then we TRY to show our JUDICIARY SYSTEM's greatness. Sanjay Dutt biopic is defintley who which deserves a book or movie not for he being a great SOUL, but only to show how a spolit brat, innocent guy can get into a tangle.. He was drug addict during his teens..was sent to some American Institute of Drug Rehabilitation. When he recovered from drugs, and started his career in his movies..but unforutanatley at the same time his mother the legendary actress Nargis died of cancer. His career was in doldrum and critics said he is a dud. He came up with blockbusters during late 80's & early 90's with movies like Khatarnak, Saajan, Khal Nayak. He even proposed Madhuri Dixit during the same time When things looked rosy, he was pulled into 1993 bomb blast case and for 21 years he fought his leagl battle.. All this can sum up to a masala story. He cannot be a hero (I am sure the makers will try to show the story from his perspective and make him the hero) but honestly the hero of this MOVIE should be Sanjay Dutt's father SUNIL DUTT. He was a gem of a person. - He saved Nargis during the fire accident of Mother India. When Raj Kapoor promised to marry her but latter ditched. Sunil Dutt married without caring if she was older, different religion, had burns on her body. That is the MAN of golden heart. - He spent money for his MP campaign in Mumbai and then retruned money to Rajiv Gandhi during mid 80's. Rajiv Gandhi was surprised and said out of the 534 MPS, he is the only one who gave tha money back after elections, for whcih Sunil Dutt said it is party's money and he spent only 50% of the required amount. The balance he cannot keep it as it was not his. HONESTY to core. - He had to take care of his ailing wife. He sold his properties and got Nargis treated in the New York Cancer insititue but in vain, then had to get his son treated for drug abuse. - Sanjay Dutt's first wife also died of cancer. He wanted to bring back his daughter Trishaan, but her maternal grand parents won the legal case in US proving that his a drug addict father and hence she cannot stay with him. Sunil Dutt fought to get his grand daughter but could never win during his lifetime. - He knew his son was guilty for having weapons, but had to struggle as it was fight between a RIGHT human being & FATHER. It was a perfect leaf taken from the old movie Doshi-Nirdhosi (Shoban Babu's movie). He never every tried to use his political power to twist the tale and get his son out of the jail. He only fought for pardoning him to carry weapons which he never used. Anyways, I used to follow this case very closely during my school days, and so I know the ins and outs. Having said that, biopics should show what was wrong and what was right in one's life. Hope they do not highlight Sanjay Dutt as a hero instead show him as a VICTIM will be right annedhi na personal opnion  | ||
