D3 is not part of RIL's trophy asset KGD6.. There are about 30-35 blocks alloted to explor. cos in kg basin such as ril, ongc, oil and many intl cos.. D3 is one such block. due to the then UPA non planning.. cos had to suffer in getting critical clearances like m. of defense/ min. of space due there extensive activity in that area.. But they have spent risk capex on min. work program committed.. Instead waiting in limbo, many have relinquished blocks, Some due poor results of blocks, economic viability and chances on getting clearances Needless, o&g exploration is a risk intensive business.. not only RIL but any corporation even govt cos ONGC, GSPC expect and try to exploit max value from production.. As RIL found first largest find in India every body blame for their actions, all echo on them... |
