brother.. what happened in 2009..does 2008 lows remains at lows..its notional loss.. over the time earnings catup..and stock moves.. in 2011..market down 25% in 2013 market down 20%.. in every year mearket down 10-15%at least..dipite of that quality stocks has given very good yields. had u invested in quality stocks at the peak of 2008...by now u would have got 6-8 times .. | ||

young age is somehthing u dont get back..what woul i do with a merc/bmw at 45 yrs..? somethings are best done at young age.. house buying though it gives 10x, you also have a place to call ur own..do whatever u want..ur children amd family can say its our home..somethings are just not for us, but also for family. i can't show my kids my PF and ask them to be happy..instead they may feel happy if we say this is ur home until u go out of college.. and what abt the tax benefit of buying a house in india coupled with growth and my own feeling. my bottom line..u can invest as much in stocks as possible..but u dont have to shun own house..a decent car etc etc..whats the point of being richest man in the grave? Investment in stock market gives yield of 30x in 10 years..@40%CAGR investment on house will give yield of 10x max. in 10 years.. good idea is instead of buying house better to go for stock market investment. at this younger age if some one buys house by Loan..he has to pay EMI through out his life time..no further saving..at the end of the life he will have only house. Instead I would advice..as following... Start investing at younger age..say at 25 years age..by the time he reaches to 45 years..I am sure he will become billionier..at that time sell few units of stocks and buy House and Merc. and enjoy the life..(just pull out 5 cr from 100 cr PF stocks) so I advise do not go for house at younger age..just go for investment in stocks..later at 45 years age go for house and Merc/bmw/bmw | ||

jalsa brother, try to develop some filters which you would be comfortable with first. then you can see if a business passes through your filers or not. safalniveshak has one post on filters that he uses but he sacrifices growth for margin of safety. you can start with his filters and then add/remove to arrive at your own. Here are the some for you to get an idea? is the management quality good? debt to equity < 0.5 promotor holding > 50 can it grow at > 30% cagr for next 10 years? is it a cyclical business? is the business dependent on regulator? does the management has growth mindset? is there scope for margin expansion? | ||

Its housing proxy sector..as long as housing sector and urbanisation is going..no probs for this sector.. if you want sector research..just go trough various research institute site (motilal oswal,icici direct,hdfc securities,edelwise,indianivesh etc.) only thing you need to do is..which one among this secotr is good.. so study following through googling.. That is individual calls..and both options are good enough.. in my case..I have taken loan from Deutsche bank 2 years back and fed into market. that loan has got finished in last month. so till last month my monthly savings has gone in the form of EMI to clear off my loan .so in this month end I am moving back to india (R2I) my coice is Monthly feeding is better.. as in every month one or 2 stocks getting corrected to 10 to 20% due ot its run up or by any other means. so every one or 2 months we used to get opportunity from atleast one or 2 stocks from portfolio stocks..so feed into those.. just go by what your DNA prefers.. | ||

basic flaw is invesitng into debt ridden suzlon.. in which way it is promising 4 years back.. have you seen its balance sheet.. Have you checked its Debt..debt will eat total earnings to pay interest..then how do you see earnings growth.. have you checked its future earnings have checked it promoters pledging.. in which way it is promising..or have heard in TVs that it is promising or some brokers recommonded....if that is the case then..I only say god gless you.. | ||

I have lot of friends who are fence sitters.. 4 years back one of my friend scared me by telling non sence what he heard in tvs.at that time market is in big correction. he said that he will satrt investing when nifty corrected to 5000..nifty touched 5000..but he has not invested..then he said that he will invest when nifty touches 4600..nifty touched but not invested..so like that he completely missed the bus. again market has given chance in last year..again same story..not invested..they are some people like him in this investment world..they won#t invest .they are the fence sitters....yet they spoil the environment and create panic among new bies.thats not good.. Now - 8000 Nifty up 27% in this year.. From 2008 peak to as on today nifty up 30% in last 7 years.. Mid cap Index.. Jan 2008 – 9395 – before global melt down Jan 2011 – 8919 Jan 2012 – 6095 Mifty mid cap index down 33% in 2011 Jan 2013 – 8602 Nifty mid cap index still not recovered Jan 2014 – 8114 Nifty mid cap index still not recovered.. Now - 11825 Nifty mid cap index up 45% in this year.. From 2008 peak to as on today nifty mid cap index up 26% in last 7 years.. Now tell me how come last 4 year bull run..its sideway maket for 3 years in last 4 years.. Only this year index is up . I have started my first invest ment in equity (quality mid and small cap stocks)when nifty was at peak at 6300 in Oct.2010.at that time I have invested 10 lks..but after 3 months market has started corrected heavily.(nifty corrected 25%)…but I have fed into my stocks with out bothering any noise and correction. Initiall started with 10 lks.. In 2011 my portfolio lost 15% (remember its notional loss)..(nifty down 25%,Mid cap down 32%) In 2012 my portfolio gained 150% (Nifty gained 28%,mid cap gained 41% from lows..but still way below previous high) In 2013 my portfolio gained 140% (Nifty gained 6%,mid cap lost 6% in that year) In 2014 my portfolio gained 110% (Nifty gained 27%,mid cap gained 45% in this year).. In last 4 years market is flat and only this year its gained..still Quality stocks has given terrific returns. Earnings will catch up any stock and moves the stock price further..so believe in earnings..not the index levels. Index contains 50-60% junk stocks…these junk stocks diluting the earnings of remaining 40-50% stocks..so over all earnigns of sensex is not crossing 12-13% per year..where as my portfolio earnings are consistently growing at 60-70% CAGR for last 4 years (because of all quality stocks)…and has given me 85% CAGR returns in last 4 years.. Just come out of trading attitude and invest in quality fundamental stocks. for longterm..then you are the winner. if market corrects..it won#t stay at lows forever..it will swing back when earnings catch up.. Investers are loosing money due to investment with barrowed conviction, booking the losses comes out of market during the correction..this is due to non conviction about equity. investing with out conviction..by listeing in Tvs and brokers not able to digest corrections..(if you not able to digest correction..just stay away from market).. up and downs are way of life for market..but over the time it always in up only. | ||

this kind of problems are there in undiscovered stocks and turnarounds (promoter says turnarounds)in micro caps and small and mid caps.. they can inflate the numbers in shortterm like for 3-4 quarters..but they can not produce inflated numbers for years..as those willcome under SEBI scanner.. Already discoved stocks lo ee problem chala takkuva.. thats why we have set some filters while selecting the stocks. that is checking the last 5 years balance sheet. and one more thing is diversification into 10 stocks greatly reduces such kind of blackswan event risks.. | ||

Chaala mandhi promoters profits inflate chesi...share value perigaakaa they silently sell their stake...tarvaatha stock damaal antundhi. I don't know if regulators have cut down on such fraud...but be extremely carefully when investing in small/medium cap companies in India. | ||

only risk in this business is Aqua desieases(but latest technology is good enough to take care of this..as marine drive department is taking care of this) and Global Shrimp fluctuations. (these fluctuations are way of life..so no issues). this sector is turning around for last 2-3 years..for last 2-3 years data is showing that see food consumption is getting increased globally as it is branded as healthy food.. chain gpoes like this.. avanti feeds sells feed stuff to shrimp and fish farmers..farmers sell this to export department of india.india export department export this frozen aqua stuuf to US and europe and other contires.
