Whatever one might feel about him, his style and his influence over Indian cricket, one should not brush everything about Greg Chappel under the carpet...his knowledge, understanding of technique and science of batting are remarkable and one should take the good out of him too. I thought i should say this, nuvvu anesaventi....but from Indian sportsmen i do not expect anything remarkable in disclosures (unlike say the KP book) but atleast if he can give an insight into his craft and mind, that would be nice. Pre-release leaks chesthonnaru publishers already to build up the excitement. Hope they price it reasonably. Today something related to Greg Chappell. But i am not too excited by the writer - Boria Mazumdar. He is not in the same league as a Rahul Bhattacharya, Dileep PremC, Rohit Brijnath etc. A publisher friend told me that Brijnath is working with Dravid on his autobiography. That should be interesting. Rohit Brijnath is undoubtedly one of the best writers we have. Bindra's autobiography - A shot at history, is absolutely fantastic. |
