I don't think the ISIS relationship with Sunni Middle East like Saudi, Qatar etc is that clear. I think there is a bit of an illicit relation there. The Saudis would not have been sitting quietly like this with scarcely any big news about them in the press. They might just be sitting happy seeing another Shia country fall or broken up. If they indeed hated ISIS, they would have feet on the ground getting their army out there. | ||

To this day, two holy grail for imposing censorhip are abusing Ataturk and saying that there was an Armenian genocide. Any media would be banned if these things were suggested. However the AK party under Erdogan has been weaning the nation away from the Ataturk legacy and does not view any criticism of him as blasphemy, partly because Erdogam has gently moved Turkey away from the secular country that Ataturk had in mind and was strongly reinforced by the army and judiciary till Erdogan came along. | ||
