Not usually, it happened only once. This is a Navy Airport called INS Dega. They started using Dega for commercial operations also. During 1980's they had a plan to build an Airport at Atchyuthapuram, that has been put on hold over and over again given the priorities at Hyd. Then during YSR time they wanted to built an Airport but Shamshabad was conflict of interest, so with GMR's pressure they decided to revamp existing airport to have night landing and international landing capability but expanding the runway. So alaga in the interest of Hyd our Airport has been pushed back. Now we end up no where. | ||
