Pulpfiction:
it depends, not just salary you know, base+RSUs+Bonus+stock options+pension benefits+PSUs RSU - restricted stock units PSU - performance stock units In our company, difference between directors and VPs is PSUs. You can't really estimate what stock options would fetch you in the long run, it totally depends on company performance in the long run. All I can say is we are paid very well, in general. |

In my estimate it will take about 5 to 7 years to reach VP level from director position in our organization, provided you play the cards right. Director level represents top 2.5% within the company and VP means it's less than 0.75%; it gets harder. |

When you do executive MBA (of course depending on the university), you get a good cohort which would be very useful in future. Even today I keep in touch with 5 of my classmates, we go for lunch once a month. We became friends at family level and lean on each other when we need something. Also you will get to know at least 20 new people in good positions in the industry. |

Pulpfiction:contacts are not that important in IT industry as we can manage thru linkedin nakuri monster
Not entirely true Pulp.... koncham Senior or executive level positions ki connections chala important. Chala sarlu ee position they look for people who they can trust .. ikkada contacts play a prime role. Na professor okkadu cheppe vaadu. every class in executive MBA is an audition/interview ani.. you potential employer or their cohort could be watching you ani.. That is so true.. I think the MBA'ers in this DB will agree |

Pipeline:If you don't care about what you are going to learn and just for the sake of three letters and if your company is going to value it then may be okay. Otherwise complete waste of time and energy.
Completely agree with this.. if MBA is a requirement for promotion or something in your company and you want to complete formality then consider this other wise don't waste money and time. Knowledge kosam ayithe Coursera lo Wharton school vadi core courses(accounting, operation & Marketing) replay chesthunnaru 10 weeks duration. do that instead you will gain tremendous knowledge and then you can decide if you wan to for full thing |

Two things ba.. What are you trying to gain? And what you company is going to value? Distance education lo MBA ante pure trash that too in 12 months. If you don't care about what you are going to learn and just for the sake of three letters and if your company is going to value it then may be okay. Otherwise complete waste of time and energy. |
